Equipment Our shooting kit includes:
* Sony Digital Field Record Deck (which can be linked to JVC Camera for two-camera interviews or presentations, for all round complete digital filming). Post Production Facilities At Whitehouse Productions we have three edit systems, all of which are non-linear. This means that the video footage is recorded onto a computer's hard disk, which then gives you instant access to all the footage - you don't need to keep fast-forwarding or rewinding the tape to find the scene you want. This is a great advantage as it speeds up the whole editing process. In addition, as the video is on computer, you can add a multitude of effects to give a quality finished programme. Edit System 1 - DV Storm2 With Edius A fully digital edit system with an abundance of high quality real-time effects. Real-time: 3D, slow motion, colour correction, picture-in-picture, multi-layered titles, plus many more. All in real-time with no need to render or wait for an effect to be created. A very slick system to use for major projects. Edit System 2 - DV 500 We use the DV 500 mainly for our multi-camera edit projects. We can play back two tracks (two cameras) then cut from one to the other as if it was being vision mixed live. It also has a selection of standard real-time effects, ie. dissolves and wipes and a real-time audio mixer. We also use it for creating our CD ROM videos, which are a great way of sharing your end product, and very cost effective! The above two systems use Adobe Premier 6.5 - the industry standard software. Edit System 3 - Liquid Edition A laptop portable edit system which can be used out in the field. It is a professional piece of software, which is full of features. Pinnacle's editing program is a DV based solution that combines the ease of Adobe Premier with professional features of Avid Xpress DV. Features include background rendering, instant save, containers, timelines within timelines, and high quality output. DVD We have a DVD recording machine, so any of the DV edit systems can plug into it to create an Instant DVD disk - you can add menus and chapters as well. |
